Who We Are
WHAT is the Ground Force Network?
Well, it’s pretty simple.
 |
» |
We are on the ground. |
|
» |
We are a force. |
|
» |
We are a network.
|
The Ground Force Network (GFN) is a community or “force” of
individuals of all ages and backgrounds - people just like YOU who want to use
their faith to make a difference in their communities and collectively on a
larger scale. You may have heard the terms “guerilla,” “viral,”
“word-of-mouth,” or “peer-to-peer.” All of these are great descriptions for
what we do. We start on the ground with individuals like YOU and through your
help and the connections you may have in your schools, churches, and
communities, together we can reach the masses. We know we can’t reach everyone
on our own. That’s why we need YOU.
Once you sign up on this website to become a volunteer “Field Agent” for GFN,
you will have the opportunity to promote a variety of faith-based products,
music releases, films and events. Some are concentrated on the
college level, while some are more targeted to the church. We call these
projects “Ground Wars.” You will always have the option to sign up for each
project, and we will equip and direct you every step of the way.
Something else you should know. We at GFN know that while many people like to
do things out of the goodness of their hearts, we are all human and need to
feel like the work we’re doing is paying off. So we go out of our way to
provide all of our Field Agents with meaningful incentives and prizes
for the work they do for us on the behalf of our clients.
Now in case you’re about to stop reading, thinking we’re just some big
marketing agency trying to make a buck, we want you to know that what sets GFN
apart from other agencies is human interaction. We know that
this is about PEOPLE! We know that people want to feel
important and that we all crave a connection with others who share common
interests. And we know that no matter how saturated the marketplace gets,
people are still what matter. A network by definition is “an extended group of
people with similar interests or concerns who interact and remain in informal
contact for mutual assistance or support.” Our desire is that GFN truly becomes
a community where you can get to know new friends and others who share your
interests.
We know that our clients are trusting our expertise and knowledge that we’ve
gained from doing viral/word-of-mouth marketing for 7+ years. So we are serious
about establishing connections with you and bringing you the most exciting,
interesting projects that make an impact.
OK…so WHO runs this thing?
GFN is not run by a big corporate firm full of cube farms and people
gathering around the water cooler for the latest gossip about how Joe in
accounting asked out Cindy in marketing and then dumped her after one date.
We’re more like your friend from down the street whom you’d feel
comfortable hanging out with at the local coffeeshop...or the friend you’d call
up to go to a concert when your favorite artist comes to town. We wear jeans to
work. We only get dressed up when we have to. But we always take our jobs
seriously.
By nature, “word-of-mouth” marketing is supposed to be organic…raw…personable.
It’s about relationships. It’s about YOU establishing
relationships in your area with local churches, people at colleges, friends,
and gatekeepers. And it’s about US establishing relationships with YOU. We will
do our best through the technology available to us today, to be connected with
each and every individual who signs up to be a Field Agent for the Ground Force
Network.
Find out more about who we are by checking out our staff profiles on the right.
Groundforce Network (GFN) is a charter member of WOMMA (the Word of Mouth
Marketing Association) and adheres to a high set of standards. To read

Susan Bill
TITLE: GROUND WAR LEADER
Most Field Agents will have personal interaction with Susan at some point. She
loves getting to know our volunteers and corresponding with them. Susan is
unashamedly obsessed with ALIAS, hence her title “handler.” |
